Chum Salmon

In the late summer, Chum Salmon start to fill the tributaries of British Columbia's Fraser Valley and are very easy to catch because of there aggressive attitude. They are viscous and strong and can be a lot of fun to catch and make wonderful fish chowder or smoked Salmon jerky.

Chum Salmon are also nick named "dog's" because of their large canine like teeth. Fresh Chum Salmon are extremely plentiful and quite willing to take almost any bait you present to them.

Pink Salmon

Five to 10 pound Pink Salmon referred to as humpies start to appear in the rivers shortly after the Sockeye runs diminish. Very feisty and strong fighters these fish are great for the kids to take or the fly fisherman looking for some great action while salmon fishing in British Columbia.

Steelhead Trout

The Steelhead Trout is one of the most sought after game fish anywhere. Some Fraser Valley streams will produce a summer run and winter run. These fighting screaming beautiful Steelhead Trout can range up to 25 pounds the average size like these is about 10 to 15 pounds. British Columbia Steelhead are a beautiful looking fish with the fighting skills that make you look stupid real fast.

Atlantic Salmon

Sorry No Photo available, These fish are seen as dangerous to the environment and to the Pacific Species of Salmon as they are raised in pens for the commercial food industry These pens located on the shore line protected waters become foul and when these fish escape into a unnatural environment they may spread acquired disease to the Pacific species which could potentially wipe out any or all strains. Also they would start to spawn and create a undesired sub species of fish.
